Approaches to Mapuche political activity and its encounters with international indianism. First half of the twentieth century

This article studies the Mapuche political activity in the first half of the 20th century, as well as the participation of its leaders in the First Inter- American Indian Conference of Pátzcuaro in 1940, approaching in an exploratory manner this participation and the formalization of the indigenist field in Chile during the 1940s. To do so, comparisons were made between what was mentioned in various archival sources, both from Chile and Mexico.
