The Perverse Sequence: From Absolutism to Populism and their Theoretical Turns

In order to better understand the sequence of ideologies that produced terrorism and war, it is necessary to refer comparatively the genocides and their links through successive historical stages, including oriental despotism, absolutism, bonapartism, fascism, totalitarianism, and populism. A pendulum sequence that evolves from the machiavellian realism, passing through the romantic jolyan dramathurgia, the tardean conversation and the habermasian deliberation until reaching the rosian transformism. This article analyses from a longue-duréeperspective the development of western ideologies.
